At 7 p.m. on March 26, hundreds of teachers and students gathered at the lower campus to join the Illumi Run, the opening ceremony of The Fourth Sports Festival.

“Enemy” and “Gunshot” performed by 4FUN of the Max Dance Club set the festival on fire.

After a warm-up, the participants moved to the illumi arch located between Teaching Building A and Teaching Building B. A long whistle marked the beginning of The Fourth Sports Festival.

At night, the runners went across the five stops at the lower campus, leaving the laughter in the air.

Running finished, everyone returned to the main site. The atmosphere went to a culmination when the after party started. Professor Yang Gu and Dr. Mathew Book?from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences led the band performed a brilliant opening show.?

The band “I love you, MOM” played three Mandarin rock songs.

Dr. Gregory, a lecturer of the School of Humanity and Social Science, performed two blues songs. The solo of the guitarist mesmerized all the listeners.

The Hip-hop club, which was known for “CUHK-Shenzhen 2021 Cypher”, performed their new song on the stage.

The event ended at about 8 p.m.?But the Fourth Sports Festival has just begun.

The 4th Sports Festival

The 4th Sports Festival of CUHK-Shenzhen will be co-host by Physical Education Unit of HSS, Running Club, RUA Club, Lg Volleyball Club, Tennis Club, Badminton Club, Lg Football Club, Table Tennis Club, Billiards Club and Water Club. The 4th Sports Festival will kick-off with the Illumi Run on March 26. Athletes from the four Colleges will enjoy the joy of sports in competitions including round campus run, table tennis, badminton, tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer, billiards, and swimming. Let’s fight for the honor of Colleges!
